2020 ALPINE CHALLENGE
With most of the historic motor sport calendar being cancelled by the Covid-19 pandemic it was great news when the organisers of 2020 Alpine Challenge were able to implement the correct safety protocols to allow the final of the 2020 FIA Trophy for Historic Regularity Rallies to go ahead.
The three day event took place in the Swiss Alps with the competitors tacking various stages on open roads, with the aim to complete the tests at an average speed of 50kph. This was a test of consistency not outright speed in beautiful cars of yesteryear in some the world’s most stunning scenery.
In his role as the FIA Media Delegate for the event, Jeff Carter was in Switzerland to report on the event and shooting video and stills for a variety of outlets. Here is a link to his Day 3 report on the official FIA website
