2022 FIA European Historic Rally Championship
The fourth season that Jeff Carter has been the Media Delegate of the FIA European Historic Rally Championship.
The 2022 FIA EHRC featured nine rounds in Spain, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Austria, Finland and Italy and is a competition for rally cars from the golden era of the sport, the 1960s to the late 1980s.
Jeff Carter works for the FIA providing a full media service, including written reports for the FIA website and several media outlets, short videos and images for the championship social media channels and 25-minute full review videos in the week following each event.
The videos were shot using a combination of a Panasonic AG-CX10 Camcorder, GoPro Hero 10 and Hero 9 Black action cameras and a DJI Mavic 3 or DJI Mini 2 drones.
ROUND 1: Rally Moritz Costa Brava (ESP)
The FIA EHRC started in Spain with the Rally Costa Brava in March. The event is based in the historic city of Girona in Catalunya.
ROUND 2: Historic Vltava Rally (CZE)
The second rally of the season was held in the Czech Republic.
ROUND 3: Rallye de Chablais (CHE)
Round 3 was a held in Switzerland with the Rallye de Chablais being the host event. Held over two days with the Swiss Alps providing a dramatic backdrop.
ROUND 4: 55th Mecsek Rallye (HUN)
Round 4 was held in Hungary with the event based in the city of Pecs in the south of the country near to the majestic Mecsek mountains.
ROUND 5: Rallye Weiz (AUT)
The Rallye Weiz in Austria was the host event for Round 5 of the 2022 FIA European Historic Rally Championship, the third time the event had appeared on the FIA Calendar.
ROUND 6: Lahti Historic Rally (FIN)
Round 6 of the 2022 Championship was held in Finland. The Lahti Historic Rally is the only gravel rally on the calendar and invokes memories of the legendary 1000 Lakes Rally. The two day rally attracted a strong entry with many gravel specialists travelling to Finland from as far away as Australia to tackle the gruelling special stages.
ROUND 7: Rally de Asturias Historico (ESP)
It was back to Spain for Round 7 for the championship, this time it was the north west of the country in Asturias, based in the town of Pravia.
ROUND 8: Rally Elba Storico (ITA)
The Rally Elba Storico will be the host event for Round 8 of the 2022 FIA European Historic Rally Championship, the first of two Italian rounds. The Rally Elba Storico takes place on the Mediterranean Island that is part of Tuscany and 50km east of the French island of Corsica.
ROUND 9: Sanremo Historic Rally (ITA)
The Sanremo Historic Rally in Italy was the ninth and final round of the 2022 FIA European Historic Rally Championship that decided the final destination of championship titles.
